What We Do

Our Programs

From Preparation to Recovery

Our programs meet low-income families at every critical stage — helping them protect their homes before a storm, find shelter and supplies in the aftermath, and rebuild in the weeks that follow.

Phase 1 — Before the Storm

Ready Before It Hits

We believe the best disaster response starts before the storm arrives. Our Hurricane Preparedness program supplies low-income families with the materials they need to protect their homes — cut plywood for windows, sandbags for flooding, and essential protective supplies — at no cost. Every family deserves the chance to prepare, regardless of income.

What We Provide

  • Pre-cut plywood for window and door protection
  • Sandbag distribution for flood-prone homes
  • Storm shutter installation assistance
  • Emergency supply kits (flashlights, batteries, water)
  • Home weatherization checks
  • Storm readiness guides in English and Spanish

The Process

How We Work

01

Prepare & Distribute

Before storm season, we identify low-income families and deliver plywood, sandbags, and protective materials.

02

Monitor & Mobilize

Storm monitoring triggers our response volunteers to pre-position in high-risk areas before landfall.

03

Respond & Shelter

Ground teams deliver food, water, and emergency shelter to displaced families within 72 hours.

04

Assess & Rebuild

After the immediate crisis, we assess damage and begin home repairs for the families who need it most.
